MYSTIC FALLS
Covington GA
After Thanksgiving visiting my sister and my brother in law in North Carolina, I made the decision to take a little visit to Covington GA. So you may be asking why Covington GA? Well, ladies and gents, the reason why I was desperately wanting to visit this place particularly was that I was obsessed with ”The Vampire Diaries”. I have always been one of the biggest fans but never had the time to travel there. Thank god I took some time to visit because it was a blast!
I wanted to do the tour but I didn’t make it on time so I googled most places on my own. Which was a little harder. Once I found the clock tower I felt like a champ! So my journey started from there. As you can see here the tower is on the left and that is also the sheriff’s office! Crazy right!?!?! And over to the right, that’s the famous Mystic Grill!
Elena Gilbert’s House

Of course in real life, Elena Gilbert does not live here but it was about a 5-minute walk from the tower! The swing was still there and almost felt like Elena was going to walk out of that front door!
Caroline Forbes

Not even a block away, Caroline’s house is on the other side of Elena’s house! Seems like everything was within walking distance
Mystic Grill

The restaurant did not open until 11 pm so I had to wait a couple of minutes to open up. I decided to sit at the bar. The second floor was not open however I sat at the bar and drank a shot of bourbon like Damon would in “The Vampire Diaries”. The Bartender was very friendly and she has told me about all the celebrities that would come sit at the bar! I wish I took a photo of my mystic burger but I was way too hungry! Over the food was great and had a great lunch
Souvenir store
Right next to the mystic grill, there is a stair going down to the souvenir store. Also is the same scene from season 1 when Lexi( Stephen’s best friend) died. You can also take a photo of the wall like I did in this photo! Mystic fall is not in Virginia by the way!
Blood Bag
Since I came to visit this place because of The Vampire Diaries, I had to get the blood bag. Although it seemed like a fun idea to buy one, It sure did not taste as great. I felt like I was drinking a cough syrup. Either way, I just wanted to get one just to say I had one.
