WORKING OUT AGAIN

You can ask me how many times I motivated myself to go to the gym. When I first signed up for a gym membership, I worked out for 5 days straight. My poor body was so sore and come second week I do it again….. however the third week I end up finding reasons to why I can’t work out. Whether it’s stress from work, or ever kids getting sick or I’m getting sick. Yeah I was one of those people who had gym membership and never went. 

So this time, since I’m blogging about it, I should be able to keep my end of the deal. The hardest part about going to the gym is that working out while some part of you body is sore. That’s right, my first day back, my brother and I decided that doing legs was such a bright idea. My younger brother used to go to a mma gym and used to fight and he is way more athletic than I was. On the other hand, I always worked on my legs/ glutes, because that is probably my best features on my body! When I began to squat with weights, I didn’t realize my old days where I had heavier weights was gone out the window. 

My second day at the gym, we did upper body. My sad, little, yet fat arms could only take 10-15 lbs weight. When I say I’m out of shape I was not kidding. But one thing most people don’t realized that it’s not smart to start with a higher weight. That’s how most people damage their knees, back, etc.. I know that when you are are the gym and there are plenty of people staring at you, you feel like you are on the spot light. Don’t work out to impress!!! At the end of the day, you are working out for yourself and you are building you strength over time. It is not going to happen overnight. But boy my arms feeling very useless! 

My third day at the gym, I took my mother along with me. She has never been to any gym except when she used to drop my younger brother to MMA. Even then, she was sitting and watching!! She came in with an intention to work on every part of her body. Now, I am NOT a fitness trainer, however, anyone can tell you that it is not wise do every part of your body everyday. Not only that, it would be miserable! So I had to let her know that it’s important to work on just some areas on her first day. She decided on legs and I was working on core. At this point my legs were at its worse soreness and I was feeling every pain on my arms and shoulder. Needless to say I was ready for a rest day. I knew that I felt this way because I was out of shape and I haven’t worked out in so long. 

So my experience working out three days straight was intense but I would do it all over again. During my rest day, I most definitely did not do anything but stretched a little and drink a lot of water. That whole day I could not wait to go back to the gym. I felt more accomplished after a good session at the gym. 

I decided to get my gym membership at CRuNCH fitness. Here in Diberville, there isn’t many gyms to choose from. So I chose the closes to my home.  This is gym is fantastic.  Staff at the front desk do very well to check people in along with checking every single persons temperature. Sanitizing equipments are all over the place and as well as equipments available to be used 6 ft apart. The facility is very clean and feel very safe. 

I am on my fourth day at the gym and I do feel less sore. I noticed that I drink more water or green tea through out the day. I’m not sure if I have more energy but I feel very pumped every morning ready to hit the gym. I do take pre work out before I leave to the gym but the product I’m using is not something I would recommend since I do feel a little more gitter and a mild migraine afterward. Now, I am a avid ice coffee drinker how ever I only took half of scoop and still felt the same. When I do find the right brand that works a little better for me, I will post another blog.
